"The 2 service people came late on Sat., 10 Dec. They inspected the bathrooms; called me and said both bathrooms has "mold" and they said they'll clean the mold for $199 each bathroom. Next, on the master bath, one guy said the grout was in bad shape and he'll clean & re-grout for $700!!! That's a total of almost $1,100 they try to sell me!! When I said no thanks, just do what I paid for, they cleaned, caulk and was finished in about 20 mins. for both bathrooms. It's definitely not worth the $149 I paid for each bathroom. I will remember Dream Home and will never use them!!! I've seen your ad that says "you don't need 1,429 plumbers, you need one", well, in this case, you are wrong!"

Your bathroom needed a lot of grout and tile repairs. In addition to the mold. Unfortunately, the coupon does not include any repairs.
It include Steam Cleaning, re-caulking & sealing up to 200sq ft of tile.

"Very satisfied. I bought two SA coupons for Dream Home to do bathroom recaulking, and ended up having them do more bathroom work and extensive insulation (including removing and reinstalling drywall, boxing in under a bay window). Very professional, prompt, and resolved the only pending issue quickly. They will try to upsell you, but if you have work you want done they will knock it out. Highly recommend."

"The "Thumbs Down" is not entirely justified. I never had a chance to judge their workmanship because we never got beyond the appointment phase for an estimate of four back splashes in our home. The first appointment was at first delayed and subsequently cancelled because the tile person ran late on his previous appointment and I was eventually asked o reschedule. The second appointment I had to cancel because of an unexpected event which took me away from home, but I called that in two days ahead of time. I was told I would be called back to reschedule. That never happened and it will never happen because I have lost my confidence. It appears that the intentions are good, but there is a huge lack of organization."

"They arrived 4 hours late. Then they told us there was no point doing the cleaning and caulking we wanted without doing $350 more work treating against mold growth. We just cancelled our $149 payment and did the work ourselves."

Your scheduled window was between 2-5pm We were running late and our employee did inform you that he was running late. We worked around your schedule, because you asked for a late appointment. He arrived at 6pm.
The $350 was for the mold treatment after the caulk was removed. There is a lot of mold on your tile and grout in both bathrooms. $350 was a reasonable price.
We are sorry you did not have an opportunity to see the outcome of our professional service.

"Do not recommend. Scheduled bathroom re-caulking deal purchased for $149. Arrived at 2 pm for 9-11 am service appt. Worker called at 1:30pm to tell me running late. Feel I was scammed with additional requirement for mold removal for an additional $199. Spoke to owner (Osher?) over the phone to complain. He was rude and insulting. When I asked to cancel the service, Osher told me Dream Home would charge me a 30% cancellation fee. Agreed to lower mold removal price of $150 but Osher told the worker to get payment (check or cash only) in advance of work -- which I refused to do. Told work would take 2 hours --only took 1 hour. The lead worker was very polite and even apologetic. Service alley should reconsider keeping this provider on its preferred list."

We apologize you had a bad experience with Dream Home. There was a lot of mold in your bathroom and the extra charge was to remediate the current issues and prevent any further major issues. We apologize for the delay in arriving.
After speaking with Osher he mentioned you thought the mold and additional repairs were included in the price. Sorry that you felt he was rude, it was not intentional.

"Dream Home professional did a great job. We found out about them by a friend that had a bathroom redone and it was great. We had Dream Home Prof do our master bathroom. We are going to have them do some work in other rooms as well. They are so great to work with, on the phone they are very nice and polite we spoke to Anna a few times on the phone and she is always a delight to speak with. Her husband Oshry was great he was always upfront with us always early of times he said he would be by for appointments. He work great with his guys and the guys worked very good when he was not with them. I look forward to having them in our house again and do a fantastic job. Sammy B"

"I would like to recommend them from a different point of view. I made a purchase on Service Alley and when the contractor arrived he told me that I didn't really need the service I had paid for. When I contacted the office, they sent me a full refund. I will definitely go back to Dream Home for my next project. This is a professional organization. "

"I paid in advance to get my bathroom chalking redone, but it took them weeks to even return my call. When the workers finally arrived, they said it would cost another $200 to treat the mold. There was a little mold - what bathroom doesn't have some - but they refused to do the work unless I paid another $200. And if I said no, they would not refund me the money I had already paid. Not very reputable. I did get the job done, but feel ripped off. They only did a little chalking around the edges, not all the wall tiles. it was a lot of money for the little bit they did. I would not hire them again, nor would I recommend anyone else hire them."

We only charge extra when there is a lot of mold, this $200 will save thousands in the long run. If Mold is not treated it grows behind your tile and walls. If it is not treated with the right chemicals and proper sealing it continues to grow.
***Most bathrooms with proper sealing does not develop mold***

"Very pleased, signed up for weekly cleaning at a discounted rate. Uses only eco-friendly products. On another note, I thought I could post multiple reports. I just want to add Dream Home remodeled my kitchen and it turned out ti be an absolute Dream Kitchen. The cleaning was a followup to the remodel."

"April 5, 2012 - in response to DHPC's accusations: Most times he who is in the wrong "outs" himself -- or his company -- as the case may be, just by being himself -- as is the case with "Dream" Home "Professional" Contractors. The accusations made by the owner of DHPC are blatant lies designed to discredit our Review. There were no "demands" other than those defined within the signed contract drawn up by the owner himself. DHPC was paid in full before the results of the poor and unprofessional job they did had come to light. This was unfortunate on our part. The work DHPC performed was finished approximately between the middle and third week of August 2010. We first noticed the deterioration on 9/8/10, but it had obviously begun quite sometime before that. However, as we use our side door and not our front door for everyday use, we did not see it until then. By 10/1/10, being no closer to resolving the course of action for the situation, we sent photos. After a year and a half of excuses, false promises and a slew of missed appointments, the owner told us, during a conversation about the condition of the posts that "money doesn't grow on trees and any sort of replacement for anything is NOT an option unless you give me more money". His idea of resolving the issues was to try and "hide" all the imperfections and deterioration no matter the cost of the quality for which we had paid nor future problems as a result. We stand strong and true with our testimony and have the evidence to support it. We would not recommend DHPC to our worst enemy. ********** March 2012 JUST SAY NO! We hired Dream Home Professional Contractors to construct columns and railings for our front porch steps. In approximately 1.5 months, the results of their work began deteriorating far beyond a reasonably acceptable degree. We contacted them repeatedly and are now, one and a half years later, still looking at railings and posts that have peeling paint, warped and jagged pieces of wood that should have been solid pieces of wood and are nothing of which dream homes are made! The owner was a smooth talker and made promises that he did not keep. The work was shoddy, unprofessional and completely unacceptable. We would NEVER recommend Dream Home Contractors. We are still living with the nightmarish results."

Deborah & Jim Matthews _ It's unfortunate that you are complaining on work that was FREE. Almost 2yrs after after our repeated attempts to repair the problem.
The bottom line of this job, was due to your pressure and demands to finish this job way before the contract end date. You and your husband both ignored our professional advise on weather conditions permitting painting, caulking and sealing the post. You were very rude to us and our employees during and after the remodeling process. We offered on several ocassions to repair the post and painting even though the paint peeled due to the weather. However, you have been extremely rude with accusations and continued demands for FREE services.
At this time, there are no refunds to offer, because you did not pay for the post and the painting job was not our fault, but the fact that you pressured us to paint.

This customer did not want us to do the repairs, even though it no fault of ours. (was rude by insulting our employees while they were attempting to resolve the issue)
Was very insulting and made threats to the owners, if we did not abide to their demands of a new Front porch and painting after 2 yrs.

"Dream Home Proffessional failed to send "Proffessionals" to clean my house. Two cleaners sent, a guy & young woman. Doubt either had cleaned a house professionally before. There was 0 sinergy between them as to whom did what where & when. Lots of pitches about services the company offers. Used my vacumns,cleaning products and lots of paper towels. Just didn't know how to clean. Notified the owner who was very receptive. Offered to send them back...I was by then cleaning myself! Didn't want to go through having to point out what needed to be done...list to long. "

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review. Please also note you paid for a 3hr cleaning and our crew stayed for 4+hrs to clean your home. There was no synergy, because the team were called to different areas of your home prior to completing 1 task, which left several task partially done.
We hoped you would of taken advantage of us returning, but somehow I believe it would have been the same. We wish you the best of luck!

"If you are a working professional like me and not a full-time housewife, then you should definitely stay away from this company. I will never use this company again. Period. And here is why: (1) WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER: I called to make an appointment. The lady who answered the phone gave me a hard time and was very rule. I was not excepted that it will be so difficult just to make an appointment for the house cleaning. I supposed that the company was not happy to get my business. (2) DO NOT WANT TO CLEAN B/C I AM NOT HOME: I told the lady that I will not be at home to open the door for the cleaner. She was like " Oh, So What's Your Story??? with a very impolite tone..." She thought I tried to schedule a move-out cleaning service since I will not be at home. I can't meet the cleaner simply because I have to go to work early and can't wait at home to just open the door for the cleaner and go back to work. (3) CANNOT ACCOMMODATE MY SCHEDULE: I also told her that the cleaner can get the key from the building manager's office. The manager's office will open from 9AM to 1PM and 2PM to 6PM which covers most day time. The cleaner do need to return the key to the building manager because there is not key drop-off box in my building. She makes me feel that no key drop-off box is my fault and said " OH~ The Situation Is Getting Harder with a very impatient tone.." and she had a hard time to figure out how to accommodate my schedule and was getting more irritate with me on the phone.... BOTTOM LINE: I DO NOT WANT TO SPEND TALKED TO THE LADY Ms. Veronica Miller. AGAIN to MAKE AN APPT. She called me back and complained about my post and denied our conversation. She marked my Groupon redeemed, so I can not use it anymore. I do not believe a company can redeem my Groupon due to my review and I actually have not received any service from this company. I frankly do not care about the lady's tone as long as I can get an appt. I strongly recommend you read all YELP.com reviews before hiring this company."

Ms. Candy Chen_Dream Home works around all our customers schedule as 95% of our customers do work. Often times, customers leave keys with concierge, so your situation was not different or difficult to accommodate.
However, your tone of voice when scheduling your appointment, was very rude and condescending.
We worked in a professional and respectful manner to schedule your appointment, however you discredited our service,prior to scheduling a service appointment.
Your voucher was redeemed due to a "LATE RESCHEDULE", which was clearly written on your voucher.

"They did a wonderful job, in Remodeling my Bathroom. They totally gutted the entire bathroom, replaced (and upgraded) all the plumbing and floors. From an 1800's outdated bathroom to a modern yet functional space. They removed a bedrooms closet and redesigned the bathroom to expand the space. Choosing materials and design was a very easy, since they have a very keen and experienced eye for design. The project was completed within the contracted time-frame and on budget, except for a change in heart for a faucet, very minimal add-on. They cleaned up after each work day, and did a deep cleaning, prior to the unveiling of the completed bathroom. I was extremely pleased to work with them, since I waited a very long time to get this remodel done. They also did some additional services around the home to include: Electrical, painting, changing doors, replacing kitchen knobs and re-tiling kitchen floor and backsplash."

"This review is long overdue. This project was competed Sep 2012. I hired dream Home for a simple tile cleaning job, but ended up remodeling my entire bathroom. The tile cleaning would not have worked effectively to restore my bathroom. It started with recommendations to replace the tiles, but with more thought and a fair estimate, I decided to proceed with the full remodel. The bathroom turned out beautiful. I also converted my tub to a custom shower, with double rain shower heads and beautiful glass with travertine tiles. Very happy and already recommended them to a friend, who had her bathroom remodeled. Will continue to refer them and use them in the future. Sally A. Bowie, Md. 20715"

"Although they had to reschedule twice, the 3 service men showed up ready to go to work. I was immediately informed that my Service Alley deal for cleaning/recaulking the tiles in my bathroom would not address the problems they saw of mold and missing grout. To fix those problems would cost over a thousand dollars. Although I felt pretty pressured, I agreed to have the work done. They assured me that the mold was taken care of (one year warranty) so I hope it is! After they left, I realized I was not given a receipt or any paperwork so all I have is my cancelled check as far as documentation of the work done. (I think I was still in shock over the price!) Be sure to ask for written receipts!"
