"I contacted this provider by phone to schedule an electrical installation. The person I spoke with would not make an appointment over the phone, but told me to email them with details of my request and best times to contact me. He assured me they would call me. I emailed. They never called. I've wasted a week. Why did he not just tell me outright that he considered my project not worth his time? Boo for M&M."
Provider's Response
One of the estimators from M&M Painting took this customer call and the estimator told him to send an email because he was out in the fill trying to help another customer. Next day the estimator from M&M called this customer and he said that he will pay only $45 to removed and install an electrical fan and he wanted it to be done the next day unfortunately we can't come next day to do the work and estimates we have customers that are on schedule that are waiting for our services and the estimator said that he was very rude by the phone that's why he never called him back. We really appreciate all the business from all the good customers and want to take advantage of our good services but sometimes its so hard to make everybody happy.

"I purchsed their services through Service Alley and have gotten the run around for close to 4 months now. I call, they say they'll call me back, and they never do. They say, "Send me an email with your information." I send and email and get no response. They said, "Send us convenient times for you so that we can come." I send the times, and never hear back. As patient as I've been, Mario, who seems to be the owner, had the nerve to be rude and condescending. So, I asked him, "Why not just give me my money back since you're obviously too busy to get to me?" His response? "If we don't get to you within 6 months, we'll give your money back." That stinks, and in my opinion, so does this company. I didn't pay for services so they could keep my money and just give it back to me in 6 months without ever even showing up at my house to look at what I want done. "

Mr. Melvin was a very patients man!! We had a deal back in March 2,011 and thanks god we sold a lot of this deals the deal was 50% off value of $600 -50% Total deal cost $300 for any renovations expect plumbing and electrical and one per customer and the terms and conditions were NO REFUND after the purchased of the deal and the time to complete the work 6 moths. Mr Melvin bought two deals and what we were doing is calling and setting the date and time in the order in which the deal was purchased and unfortunately his schedule date to do the estimate and work was until the end of June he insisted and called everyday and sent lots of emails to have someone and come and do the estimate and work but we had another customer on schedule before him and we could not leave them behind that were already waiting like him. Mr Melvin bought two deals and i told him that it was only per person cause we had so many customers waiting and he got upset but i still told him that it was OK!! we will still do both but he didn't want to wait for his turn and WE REFUNDED HIM ALL HIS MONEY OF $600 even when our deal terms said NO REFUND ALL PURCHASED ARE FINAL. We really appreciate all the business from everybody but we have follow our schedule and not to leave other customers behind. Sorry for any inconvenience M&M works so hard for references.

Mrs Pam, Has called early April for an exterior estimate and we did spoke with her and we set a time and date which it was next same week that she called. Estimator was on the way but it was raining very hard and we left her a voice mail that we couldn't come because it was raining and it was going to rain the whole week which it did. The voice mail said that she needed to call back to reschedule for an estimate and the estimator even called her one more time again but she never returned the call what we think is that this customer didn't check her voice mails because we were interested on her business. She only made one call and one email i pasted her email below so all of our new customers don't think we don't return calls CUSTOMER EMAIL ( Thanks for the call back. As discussed, I would like to get an estimate on getting the exterior of my townhouse painted) Pam Drenthe. This what we do for leaving and we want everybody's business and again we work hard for references that's why M&M has been in good business position since 1,997 Sorry for any inconvenience we look forward and work hard for all good customers.

"Woohoo is right, this is as good as it gets, Mario and other team of experts came to my family's rescue during the high waters and windy weather. They we're professional, accurate, and friendly. Mario was so understanding of my situation and took out time to review options with me for payment. My family and I recently experienced a flood on the first floor of our townhome and they came within 1 hr (yes, 1 hr) to quickly start the restoratation phase. It them only two days to get the whole basement back to normal, which was shocking. Thumbs up to you guys and thanks again"

"They arrived on time to develop the job specs, were clear about pricing, timing, and materials,. Once agreeing on a schedule and details were completed, the process went smoothly.They showed up as promised. The painting and cleanup were done efficiently and they were able to make sure to use the right materials from their stock even though I didn't purchase the right paint. Generally satisfied with their work and will use them again if the opportunity occurs. "

"Mario and his crew really work hard. We bought a new house and had them paint practically every wall, refinish all the floors and more. I left them alone in the house for hours on end and found them to be scrupulously honest. They are probably not the cheapest, but they have all the equipment, don't knock off work and take three hours lunches. In sum: Good work done fast."

"most of the thumbs downs on here are for communication. I'm not sure what that's about, I have had no problems whatsoever. I left a deposit in August, went AWOL, in a matter of speaking, for 4 months and Mario called me back with all information in tact. I finally hired them to do work, a week later, the value of my home has increased substantially based on the work that was done."

They completed the job quickly, were very professional, and did a wonderful job prepping and cleaning up the area. And did I mention, they did a fantastic job? "I recently hired M&M to pressure wash and paint my home. Mario was extremely professional in his presentation of services and quickly provided an estimate for the work. His pricing proposal was very price competitive . We agreed to his terms and signed a contract with him. Mario was excellent regarding communication of the schedule of work and throughout the process. His crew arrived on time as communicated and were also very efficient and professional. "M&M Painting just completed a job for me - I am very pleased. They installed hardwood in my very small powder room. That involved working in a very small space, removing the existing tile, removing and reinstalling the toilet. I was anticipating they might run into problems but the worked all day and I never had a moment of concern. "Mario is a competent, motivated businessman. His team did a significant amount of painting and renovation and handyman work over the period of a couple of weeks in order to get my townhouse ready for rental. They were timely and performed to my satisfaction. My only advice is to make sure you both agree on what is in the contract. If you provide a list, ensure that it is referenced and attached to the contract, that way you will both be on the same page. I would use them again."

"I hired M&M to paint my dining room and kitchen in my home in D.C. Although most of the work was done satisfactorily, there were few few performance issues that I discussed with the owner. After some back-and-forth, the owner agreed to a partial refund and I received payment a couple of weeks later. "My experience with M&M Painting was fantastic. My appointment was scheduled for 8am and the two painters pulled up about 7:56, finished unloading the truck and were at my door promptly at 8. We were off to a great start. The painters did a good job and really worked hard to do all we asked for in the period of time covered by the deal we purchased. There were a few spots here and there that need some attention but the owner has been so easy to work with I'm sure we will get those handled easily. They actually worked hard and fast as NOT to charge us additional money and that is most likely the reason for the missed spots, they were really. It was well worth the price and I would recommend them in a heart beat. I plan to use them for future projects."

"I needed a large bedroom painted in a hurry and I called M&M. Mario returned my call promptly and we worked out a price. He sent two men to do the work later in the week. They arrived right on time, did a really excellent job, including the trim, three windows, two large closets with lots of shelving, and six doors. They were very polite and neat, and were careful to protect the stairway and carpeting. They finished by 4:00 and cleaned up everything. Part way through the work, Mario came and checked on the progress, allowing us to raise any issues (we had none) and to discuss other work we will need in the future. The quality of work was first rate, as was the service."

"I took advantage of a Service Alley promotion for the first time by using M&M Painting and Renovations. The promotion was for 2 painters for 8 hours. We had recently moved into a new house where the previous owners painted to the basement orange (the walls and the ceiling!). I wasn’t sure if 2 painters working for 8 hours could finish the job and I certainly didn’t want to take it all on myself so we decided to hire out the project. The M&M Painters were on time (in fact they were a half hour early), very diligent and professional. They began straight away and after 8 hours as I suspected they weren’t nearly done. I spoke to Mario, the supervisor and negotiated 3 additional hours at a very reasonable cost. Even with the additional 3 hours the job couldn’t be completed but what was done looks absolutely amazing! I would recommend M&M Painting and Renovations for any of your painting needs, they were great! "

"Mario and his colleague were very professional, efficient, and provided quality work. They installed a water hose from my kitchen sink to my new refrigerator, and this required them to drill a small hose in my base cabinet to pass through the hose. Mario made sure that I knew everything they were planning to do, and that I approved of the final product, which I appreciated. Separately, Mario offered to help me with purchasing a kitchen sink because he has a contractor discount code with Fergusons. "I purchased a deal for 15 hours of painting time. I was completely happy with the level of service and the quality of the work. When I emailed M&M Painting to schedule the job, they got back to me very quickly and were able to schedule the job for the next business day. The painters showed up on time and did a very nice job painting my rooms. The paint is even, neat and the lines are crisp. They were able to paint an entry way, living room, and long hallway, with two coats of paint each, in one day. It looks very good. I would certainly use M&M Painting again. "

Mario was extremely responsive and I was able to get an appointment the next day. The team arrived early, reviewed the drywall damage, and got right to work. "I hired M&M to do drywall repair in my father's house. There were a number of split seams where the drywall tape had to be replaced in the walls and the ceilings of 5 rooms and 2 large cracks from last years earthquake. We negotiated what I felt was a fair price and two men did all of the repairs. The work was neat and the workers left the house clean. They spoke both English and Spanish so there was no problem communicating. I would hire them again. "

"I have had M&M come twice to do some major drywall repair in my home. Their work was excellent!. The men who came were very professional, worked very hard and cleaned up when done, to include vacuuming. The contract stated the work would be to sand/paint level but the finish was so clean and smooth that I don't think any sanding will be necessary. I would definitely call Mario again to have any other work done in my home. I actually have several jobs in mind that I intend to contact his crew to do."

"Their prices are HIGH AS HELL and they don't clean up behind themselves throughly enough. I had to hire a cleaning lady to clean the couch and specs of dried sheetrock all over the place. They also left a trail on their way out, as it was on their shoes. They got upset because I would not leave a review until after all the work was done and they were gone. They wanted me to leave a review right as they started work, which I knew better. I had another company do the same work for 75% less than what they charged me. I would shop around, because you will find much cheaper, cleaner, and efficient contractors elsewhere. "
