"Bought a Groupon for their service. They didn't even make my bed and the cleaning job was really sub standard. I can't figure out a way to continue the conversation except by editing my own review. Kevin, I only mentioned that my bed was not made. I did not request a linen change but expected that my bed would be made. I already reported my disatisfaction to you back when you provided the service and you never responded (another reason for the negative reivew), but Groupon gave me a full refund, so I am satisfied with that."

I'm sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with the Groupon cleaning deal that you purchased last year.
Maid In DC does have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, so if any of our customers are NOT satisfied, we offer to clean your home at our costs.
Also, per our website, changing linens was NOT part of the "basic" cleaning that was offered for the Groupon deal.
We have some clients that like their linens changed and many clients that do not want their linens changed, so that is why we have an initial "to do list" whereby clients can make specific requests so as to "customize" their cleaning preferences.
I would be happy to discuss your cleaning and see what we can do to make sure you are a satisfied customer.

"I got a Groupon for Maid in DC and it was one of the best Groupons I have gotten yet. I have one of those old white stoves that I can never really get clean and they made it look like new. Now I don't want people to think I keep a dirty place but they did such a good job that my apartment felt like it did when I moved in. This was the first time I had a cleaning service and I have to admit that I was worried about having strangers come into my apartment, but both cleaners were really nice, they did an amazing job, and at the end of the day I really had nothing to worry about. ~Lucia"

"NO SHOW and NO CALL! Made appointment for 1pm. At 1:50 I called Kevin to ask where cleaners were. He first said they would be here shortly, then said they got caught in morning traffic, then said they ran late at another house. He said he would call back with updated info. He did call back, saying cleaners would come at "3:00-ish." No way. This company is unreliable."

"I used Maid in DC a few months ago because I had a deal voucher. They did such a great job that they've become my regular cleaning service. I love that I can schedule appointments via email, the staff always shows up on time, and they clean thoroughly and efficiently. Highly recommended! "

"Maid in DC cancelled on me at the last minute three times! For the first cancellation, they didn't contact me at all and I only found out when I called them because I was curious why they were late. For the second and third times, they only texted to let me know instead of calling or emailing. By the fourth scheduling, I informed them that I was going out of town and needed the service done by a particular time on a particular day. They assured me that they would be there at 10:00am, well before I was due to leave. By 10:30 I called and they assured me that the cleaner was 15 minutes away. By 11:00 I called again and he said he would call the cleaners to see where they were. By 11:30, I was calling to cancel and he said that they were "at the stop light." I demanded the cleaners number and called them myself. They arrive 10 minutes later, at almost noon. I was supposed to leave by 2:00pm and was afraid that this would be a very tight, but managable crunch for me since they were expected to stay for an hour and a half. I shouldn't have worried, they left after 35 minutes. When I protested that they hadn't spend the time promised, they informed me that they were told by Maid in DC that they could cut the time short. The cleaning was average, not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. However, the service with the main scheduler, Kevin, was abysmal. He was friendly enough, but uncommunicative and unable to provide the most basic of customer service. I will never use this service again."
