""My Air Duct Pro" TRASHED the floors in my living room and kitchen. Upon finishing their work they carelessly spilt a residue multiple times leaving my house. They attempted to wipe it up but it had absorbed into the floors and now they are STAINED. I have contacted the company MULTIPLE TIMES for a resolution and was told someone would get in touch with me but it has been weeks and I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING. "

"I used the groupon service. All they did was pull the vent covers & vacuum the immediate opening. They didn't clean any of the ductwork, period. The dryer vent pipe cleaning was worse. They plugged a drill with a short snake attached & ran it through the vent cover a few feet. When I offered them an extension cord so they could utilize the full length of the short snake, they refused it as their job was finished. Arguably, they made the lint problem worse as the piping could be further obstructed by what was partially disturbed. A fire hazard! This is a dangerous joke for a service company."

"Hi I setup an appointment with My Air Duct Pro today for vent cleaning and duct inspection. Two guys showed up; one can speak broken English and the other does not speak English at all. They started cleaning the vents and inspected the ducts. After inspection, they told me that your ducts are very bad with mold and dirt and you need to clean them now for a hefty price of $500. Since I was at work and my wife who was there called me and I said we will think about it and will let him know. The guy who speaks English become very upset and starts shouting on my wife and start acting aggressive. He start putting pressure and shouting me over the phone when I was talking to him. They did not even finish the vent cleaning properly. I talked to somebody at the office and complained and asked the supervisor to call me. But the supervisor did not call me yet. They seems to be scam and very unprofessional. I could no find this business on Better Business Bureau but I am planning to call BBB and register a complain if they do not call me back by today "

They are all from ghost accounts because these guys are the WORST 'handy' service I've ever dealt with. "I would not use this service. I believe they tried to scam us. I had a Groupon for a duct cleaning and they tried to sell me a 2000 DOLLAR mold treatment. Was able to have the problem solved for 95 dollars from another company. The guys that came out to the house were friendly enough. I told them I couldn't commit to anything that day. They left and said the company would call me that night to follow up. I never heard from them again."

"Total scammers... wouldn't even complete the service after I told them that I would not go with their SCAM of a mold cleaning service. Dateline did a huge investigation on what a scam these 'air duct cleaning' places can be... What do they really achieve clean that you can't accomplish yourself with a regular vacuum cleaner hose? Nothing... After the 2 men started yelling at my wife, they told her that she could pay off the mold treatment if she was willing to become A STRIPPER. I talked to the owner, Imran, who was equally offensive and challenged me by asking, "What country are you from?" Then the owner threatened to sue me. Why, I have no clue. I called groupon and had them remove My Air Duct Pro from their listings. If you purchased a groupon for this service, please call groupon as they are now offering FULL refunds - no questions asked. AVOID AVOID AVOID"

"This was a terrible experience all around. The guys came in and opened up a vent for about 5 seconds, told us we need their "Mold treatment" without even testing to see if what they saw was mold or not?!?! They said it would cost $2,000 to do the removal and I said no, then they said $1,500, then $1,000, then $700 was the best and final offer he could give me because he was not a sales person. I understand that the Providers Response will be that "you were under no obligation to purchase any additional services" but it was an extremely hard sale in my own house which made us very uncomfortable. Their attitude changed from friendly to what seemed very upset that we did not want to pay for the additional services. After about 10-15 minutes of back in forth of saying no and the sales/air duct specialist he finally got it through his head that he was not selling us on the additional “No Obligation” services, he then went and spent only 2 minutes doing what we actually paid for, which to me seems extremely fast to get done the amount of vents that we have in our house. I then called their main number to complain, and they said they would have to check with the person that came out to find out the situation. I have not heard anything in over two weeks and I have called back several times and no one has yet to get back to me. This is one of those times I am very happy to have the internet and pages like this to make complaints about non reputable companies and by the looks of other users responses they had the exact same experience so I know this is happening to a lot of people. Hopefully people stop paying for shady services like My Air Duct Pro, or they revamp their corporate model of hard selling consumers for their services. "Horrendous experience. I too was given the mold treatment scam and additional 'needed' furnace cleaning services starting at $399 and then the price was lowered to $150 cash when they left about 30 minutes later (quite a sale). The technicians were in my house less than 30 minutes whereas my friend had another provider, Cropp-Metcalfe, do their unit, and they were there over 1 hour. The Groupon ad stated 'Air-duct cleanings last 60–90 minutes, and dryer-vent cleanings take about 30 minutes.' They did not even remove my vent covers and took less than 5 minutes with my dryer! I too called Groupon to complain, posted on community forums and sent an email to 500+ co-owners and reported them to every consumer agency I could think of. Stay clear as it is not worth the headache."

"We used this Company on two of our condo units. The one tenant told us they were very aggressive to her. She reported them to Groupon.. Also they never cleaned the furnace vent. They made a visual inspection and claimed we had mold that was going to cost us another $700.00. We hired another company a week later and the company told us there was NO way they could come up with a mold claim unless they sent it to the Lab for results. Never use this company! SCAN artist!"

"I purchased an Angie's List Deal for $129 for Chimney Sweep and Inspection. I was extremely disapointed by the experience. The total time "My Air Duct Pro" spent at my home from the time that they arrived, including their ladder set-up and putting the ladder back on their truck was 25 minutes. They did not inspect the interior of my fireplace inside my home or the chimney connections to my oil furnace and gas water heater. The only thing that I saw the technicians do was to use a brush down the chimney flue. But only spending about 10 minutes on one or two flues, I can't imagine a very good job was done. In addition, they took a picture and showed me a crack below the crown area in the mortar. I asked the technician how bad the crack was and he said he didn't know. I asked if they could email me the picture or use my camera to take a picture. The reason I requested the picture was the 2011 earthquake caused damage to my crown and a couple of the top layers of the brick. I paid a different contractor to repair the crown and top of the chimney. If the repair wasn't preformed properly, I wanted to contact the company that did the work. The technician said that it would be no problem to get a picture and it would be emailed to me. After 3 days when I hadn't received an email of the "crack" I called "My Air Duct Pro" on two different dates and I never received the picture after they promised I would. I did NOT receive an inspection report checklist for the inspection - only a payment receipt. Additionally, they did not put any covering on my light colored carpet or the furniture around the fireplace. I even questioned the technician about covering my furniture and carpet. They tracked dirt in all over my carpet (no booties worn.) I rated them well on punctuality because I was given a window of between 9 and 12 and they did call first and arrived at 9:48am. The regular price of the chiminey sweep and inspection was $299 and Angie's List deal was for $129 - for $299 a Level 2 or Level 3 inspection and reporting should have been done. Not recommended! "

"I have to echo the negative reviews. I purchased the Groupon duct cleaning service. They came on time, but made it immediately clear that this service does not include the cleaning of the air returns and that unless you clean the returns you don't get any lasting benefit from cleaning the ducts. They wanted hundreds more to clean the returns. I felt it was a true bait and switch. I did not do it. Even if they were right I would not do it. I'll spend the money on others I think more reputable. They were out of the home in short order and who knows if they accomplished much of benefit."

"I will never use this company again and wouldn't recommend any else use them. I too bought the Groupon deal. They cancelled my appointments twice the day before. The first time they told me they overbooked. The second time they said I lived too far away. I scheduled a third time and told them that was their last chance. They showed up, and oddly enough, took a look in my vent and told me I had mold. I told them only to do what they'd paid for on the Groupon deal. He told me he normally wouldnt push it, but since I have kids he strongly recommends it. He saw I was angry and didn't push it. The main guy was on his phone the entire time and the helper didn't speak even when I spoke to him. I told the main guy why I was so unhappy and he said they were doing business with another guy who didn't care and are trying to rebuild their image. I strongly recommended they not overbook and cancel appointments. I also find it very interesting how several of the thumbs down are being accused of being racist and yelling at them or not understanding what they bought. I have yet to read a response that says they will work to make sure customer service comes before the add on sale of work you may or may not need. Can't wait to read their interpretation of what I did wrong."

"This is by far the worse experience I have ever had with any company. I bought the $49 service from Groupon and I got what appears to be two undocumented workers in a beat-up van with no equipment other than an electric screwdriver ready to provide a scam service. First they cancelled the original appointment at the very last moment, then they showed up unannounced with the guy saluting “Why don’t you answer your phone” - absolutely no manners. I tried my best to ignore his insolence and invited them in. He went looking around the house exclaiming “Very nice, very nice” at everything he saw, obviously he was not interested in the air-registers, so I had to pointed them out to him, beginning with the air-return register. The main guy shouted in spanish to his helper to take the grill down, and just as quick he took a look and proclaimed we had mold. When I asked to point to the mold, he picked a bit of dust lint and started telling me that he could not do the work unless they sprayed the whole system for mold. Obviously, the guy doesn’t know the difference between mold and dust, I took a second look at his beat up van in search of any sign of air-duct cleaning equipment, having failed to notice any I knew these guys were trying to pull a scam - and God knows what else - on me. I showed them to the door and that was that. I have called Groupon and emailed Groupon complaining about this company, I hope they have done something about it. "

"Wow! This is one HORRIBLE company. We bought the groupon and upon looking in our vents we were told we had mold and it would be $3000 dollars to clean the vent. When we balked, he said he'd do us a favor since we had a baby and my wife was pregnant and said that he'd do it for $1400. When we were still hesitant the cleaner produced at "mold test kit" from home depot (I think it just tests for bacteria or any microbes for that matter). The test was positive so I asked could I have the vents cleaned of the dust and then retested for the mold and he said "NO! The test won't be the same then." Major red flag now. Cleaning dust doesn't remove mold. I guess my face gave away that he'd made an error in speaking, because he "called his boss" to ask for an amazingly low price of $400. While on his iPhone he brought is hand down to tell me that his boss said he knows we never do that, but it ok this time. As he's telling me this I noticed that his phone was off. When he brought the phone up to his ear again to conclude the call I noted that his responses were way to fast for the "person on the other line" to get a word in edgewise and certainly not enough to instruct him to do a good job even if it was at such a low price. At that point my wife was worried sick that something bad was going to happen to her and the baby and wanted to just pay the money even if it turned out to be a scam. I really, really wanted to punch the guy in the face at this point. I did what I could to calm my wife down and then told them to get out. He then DEMANDED that I sign a document stating that they did the work. When I refused he sent the other guy down to clean the dryer hose despite my just telling them to leave and then told me that because I wasn't having them clean the "mold" they couldn't clean the vents. He then again insisted that I sign. My wife was now getting really scared and I genuinely thought I'd have to fight these guys. In the end I yielded and signed the damn paper so that I wouldn't have an altercation like that in my own home in front of my pregnant wife and 1 year old child. My Air Duct Pro should be avoided like the plague. Hands down some of the most retched people I have ever met in my life. Literally no care for other human beings save for where they can rip them off for profit. Warn your friends, family and neighbors against these guys. Heck, warn random strangers as well if you hear them speak of this company."

"I would not recommend this company to anyone! I purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment for duct and dryer vent cleanings. Two gentlemen came and upon entering my house they informed me that I had mold in my vents. I asked how they knew that and the one said he'd been doing this for seven years and could just tell. He quoted me a price of $2,400 to $3,800 to have the mold removed. I told him that was out of my price range, he immediately lowered the quote to $500. He said he could do that because he was a project manager and not a sales agent with the company. That made me leary and I declined to have the mold service done. He seemed a little perturbed. I then asked him to do the services included with the Groupon. They proceeded and were finished in 7 minutes! My house is not a mansion but it's not small either. I couldn't imagine that they could clean all of the vents and the dryer vent in that amount of time. I asked them and they said they had. I was just happy to see them go!!! Please steer clear of this company. "

"After scheduling our appointment with My Air Duct Pro, the two technicians arrived two hours past the scheduled window time (which was 9am to 12pm). The van that My Air Duct Pro was using did not actually say "My Air Duct Pro". It said "[All] States Air Duct Pro" (the "All" was scratched out). Upon entering the home, within LITERALLY 20 seconds the main technician looked into the return air vent (with his iPhone light) and immediately declared we MUST pay $800 to have "mold and bacteria removed" for our safety. After discussing the need, he lowered his price to $500 but was incredibly pushy and persistent that this must be done. After denying the extra service, the other technician began to "clean" our air vents. By "clean" I mean he dragged his dirty vacuum hose all around hour house, showing absolutely NO regard for walls or furniture--nicking BOTH! He made more of a mess than what he was actually cleaning up! He would wipe off the air vent covers with a dirty paint brush ON MY CARPET and then walk away!! He would quickly stick the hose in the vent, and quickly put the air vent cover back on without installing it correctly. He never even offered to take off his shoes, so he was tracking dirt and dust all over my home! Several of the air vents weren't even cleaned and NONE of the air returns were cleaned. Their "furnace inspection" was, looking at the air returns. They, in fact, never actually looked at the real furnace and they obviously didn't clean it either. THEN, they proceeded to "clean" the dryer vent, which took them approximately 30 seconds. They also failed to re-attach the dryer hose to the dryer. They then went upstairs, dumped their dirty water in our front yard and then left. These people are HORRIBLE!! The purchase agreement is 60-90 minutes of air duct cleaning and a furnace inspection. My Air Duct Pro/All States Air Duct Pro did the total cleaning ALONG with the 5 minute rant on the urgency of doing their $800 "mold cleaning" with "natural chemicals that no other company uses" and "all other companies are poisionous and over $3000" in a combined total of 15 MINUTES. 15 MINUTES. My Air Duct Pro/All States Air Duct Pro did not inspect our furnace, they did not clean the dryer vent entirely, they did not clean the air returns AT ALL, they did not properly re-install the air vents upon cleaning (or in the case of our bathroom, they just left it on the floor) and, finally, they would only clean the actual ducts when I was standing in the room with them. ALL THE WHILE, managing to get our carpet, furniture and walls DIRTY. After they left, we had to sweep up after them, re-install air vents correctly, re-attach the dryer hose and put it back in place and wipe down walls and furniture where the vacuum hose rubbed up against them. Also, we will now have to find ANOTHER company to come and TRULY inspect and clean our furnace. I will NEVER again use My Air Duct Pro/All States Air Duct Pro!!! I've noticed someone commented on all the bad reviews. This company is a totally scam. I have a picture of the two employees, the van, the license plates number and the damage done to my house. I have already reported them to the BBB and include pictures. LASTLY, to the commenter who has the GALL to question all these bad reviews: "Paige C." OBVIOUSLY not my real name. So, you're OBVIOUSLY not going to find "Paige C." in your records. Y'all DESTROYED my home. Consider yourself reported. "

"Absolutely horrible. I had a co-worker that used the same company, he got the deal through Groupon also, but the company named themselves http://www.allstatesairductpro.com/ , which is the same company as My Air Duct Pro, i could clearly see the magnet signs over each other on the truck. Anyways the guy that came to my house was "Ruben", before even opening any of my vents he said i had a mold problem. So he said he can cut me a deal for a service to get rid of all mold and bacteria for a low price of $500. My co-worker told me he tried to pull that same scam on him the week before, i said no thanks. Knowing he might pull this crap on me i called my A/C and Heat company a few days before my duct "cleaning" (F.H. Furr) and had them run an actually mold and bacteria test and test came out clear no problems. After declining his mold service he and his worker proceeded to clean my vents, they opened one vent in my entire house and all they did was vacuum the opening of the duct and my vent. In the end i didn't say anything and i just wanted them out of my house. I e-mailed Groupon about the problem and my money was refunded. About a month ago i noticed that they were running the same deal on Google Deals, and i went ahead and warned Google about this company, hopefully no one will ever do business with them again. They have been reported to the BBB. And to all the people that game it a thumbs up on here or anywhere else are people that work of the company and relatives. BIG BIG THUMBS DOWN IN RESPONSE TO THE COMMENTS BELOW FROM THE COMPANY..... I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MOLD TEST PREFORMED VISUALLY!!! THERE WAS NO SAMPLES TAKEN FROM MY HOME TO TEST. AND FOR BEING SUCH A "GREAT" COMPANY WHY DOES IT TAKE OVER 6 MONTHS TO RESPOND TO A REVIEW??? I HOPE THIS SCAM STUNT YOUR COMPANY IS PULLING FAILS. "

"The technicians arrived on time. One immediately opened my return vent and announced that I had mold and needed a $2400 treatment that he would do for $800. I declined. The second tech vaccumed my ducts. Upon leaving the main tech offered the mold & bacteria treatment for $500. I used My Air Duct Pro because of a groupon offer. I paid $49 dollars and got $49 dollars worth of work. I don't think I'll be buying any more groupon services unless I already have a relationship with the company."

"Avoid this company. Their groupon deal is a total bait and switch scam. They tried to convince me that I had mold (which I have since tested and it is not mold - it is just dust) and then tried to convince me to get a special mold cleaning for $800. After I said "no" 3 times (each time the price drop to $600, then $400), they finally realized that I would not fall for their scam. They then proceeded to drag a dirty old vacuum hose around the house and damaged the corners of walls and left marks on the carpet and doors. The groupon deal stated: "After inspecting furnaces, certified technicians spend 60–90 minutes cleaning air ducts and dryer vents using eco-friendly products." They never inspected the furnace, they only spent 15 minutes cleaning some (not all) air ducts. Only 2 minutes to clean the dryer vent (which they damaged and needed replacing). They scratched every single vent that had screws (all required repair and touch up paint). They spilled mud and oil all over my driveway. After they left, I checked some of the vents and found dust in them. I ended up spending an additional 3 hours cleaning up and fixing all the damage they left. I hope groupon will never do business with this company again. Do not use this company."

What I find really interesting is if you go down these reviews and read the company's response - they call you all raciests and idiots for not KNOWING what was included int your groupon. "The scammers are still at it. I used a Groupon. As many of the others have stated, the technician went down and looked at the furnace and pronouced that it had mold and even showed my a picture. I went down and looked myself and the furnace has dust but no mold. He then wanted an additional $698 to clean the furnace and treat the mold. I said no and he refused to do the vent cleaning. STAY AWAY and Groupon should be ashamed of dealing with this scammers."
