"Nancy King visited our 1920's townhouse that needs some heavy duty cleverness to transform it. She combed through our ideas and immediately started a plan that will use our better pieces, highlighting a huge armoire, that will result in a unified but friendly living area. When it is finished, we will have a unified downstairs with comfortable seating taking advantage of the wall to ceiling French doors and fireplace. "Nancy helped me choose some wallpaper patterns to update my dining room/kitchen/foyer areas from books I had picked up at the local paint store. She discussed the pros and cons of several possible selections. Her observations were helpful when I later found some of those patterns had been discontinued and had to apply her ideas to select different papers. She also advised me on what I need to do to get the old papers removed and walls prepared for new paper, and gave me names of some suggested contractors for the work."

"I had a wonderful time with Nancy during my 2-hour consultation. She gave me advice in each room of my home and adapted her advice to my decorating style. She helped me rearrange furniture; decide on picture placement; recommended, and in some cases confirmed my choices for, new furniture, lamps, window treatments, and colors. I’m following up on all her recommendations. Most importantly, it was so easy to work with Nancy. Knowing she assists people with homes far more glamorous than mine, I was concerned about feeling intimidated with my modest Arlington 2-level apartment. But that wasn’t the case. She was warm and friendly and very happy to work with what I had and with my budget limitations. A very positive experience, and I hope to have her back. "
